AKA Paraphernalia Bags
These beautiful AKA tote bags proudly promote the organization. They may even express the owner’s devotion and worldview. Anyone, who agrees the mission of AKA would happily wear these bags and tell you stories about the activities and goals.
Their symbol is an Ivy Leaf, their flower is Pink Tea Rose and their colors are Salmon Pink and Apple Green. These motives are easily recognizable, memorable and beautifully represent the unity and harmony which is one of the goals of the AKA.
This AKA Tote Bag is a cheerful, spotty bag will surely make the day off. The special wood tongs and canvas material lends a natural look to the bag. Because of its relatively small size, you can’t pack a lot of things in it, but the most necessary items like phone, wallet, keys and other small things will fit.

About Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority
Have you ever heard of AKA? What if I say Alpha Kappa Alpha? If you have not heard about this organization yet, I would like to introduce them in a few words:
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (AKA) is an international service organization that was founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 1908. It’s the oldest Greek-letter organization established by African-American college-educated women.
The organization was founded on five basic tenets:
“To cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of ‘Service to All Mankind’.”
They are all around the world: you can find them several places like the United States, Liberia, the Bahamas, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Germany, South Korea, Bermuda, Japan, Canada, South Africa, and in the Middle East. In 2018 they have 75,000+ active members and nearly 300,000 members initiated worldwide.
Theirs mission is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of “Service to All Mankind”.
AKA sorority has two key areas to focus on: the lifelong personal and professional development of each of its members; and galvanizing its membership into an organization of respected power and influence. The members consistently work at the forefront of effective advocacy and social change that results in equality and equity for all citizens of the world.
My personal experience is these kind of university sororities and other student organizations truly have the power and the ability to change the society. So, if you are interested and want to know more of the AKA, here are their webpage and a testimonial video.
